CONFINED SPACES
The legislation defines confined space as any environment characterized by limited access or exit routes, in which the danger of death or serious injury is very high due to the presence of dangerous substances or conditions (e.g. lack of oxygen or the presence of harmful gases).

Some types are easily identifiable due to the presence of small openings, as in the case of tanks, silos, closed drainage systems, sewer networks.

Other types of confined spaces, not so easy to identify but equally dangerous, are: open tanks, tubs, combustion chambers inside ovens, pipes, environments with insufficient or no ventilation.

Those who work in confined environments and spaces must necessarily be in possession of adequate systems for the safety and recovery of the operator and suitable personal protective equipment.

Safety legislation (Legislative Decree 81/2008 and DPR N. 177/2013) can be particularly complex, which is why MultiSicurezza evaluates with you the existence or otherwise of specific risks at work in confined environments and plans the best technical solution based on current regulations and according to your needs.
